Our Handmade Pillows
-
We are passionate about doing our part to help the environment. Earth.org estimates that America alone is responsible for over 11 million tons of textile waste every year. That’s 85% of all textiles. We make every pillow with vintage, pre-loved, deadstock or remnant fabrics. There are plenty of beautiful things existing in this world. Why should landfills get all the good stuff? We are just doing our small part to help make a dent in a larger, global issue.
-
Each pillow is handmade in limited quantities using fabrics that are rare or hard to find. In addition to this, it takes time to source each product on the site and each piece of fabric used to make our pillows. Our intention is for these pieces to be lovingly displayed and enjoyed year after year no matter how your style grows and changes. They are meant to be gifts, heirlooms, and cherished treasures.
-
We source our fabrics from a variety of sources from thrift stores, to fabric shops and everything in between.
-
Yes, each and every piece of vintage, pre-loved, remnant and deadstock fabric is heat treated prior to fabrication.
-
Some of our fabrics are sourced from fabric stores which notate the makeup of the fabrics they sell. However, deadstock, vintage, remnant, and pre-loved fabric cannot always be verified. We do our best to identify the materials that make up the fabrics used in our pillows but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the identification of every material. Unknown materials will be notated as such in the listing.
